Events don't pause for a photographer. A first dance, a keynote moment, a band hitting the chorus - these things happen once and they're gone. The skill isn't just in taking a sharp photo in difficult light (although that matters); it's in reading a room, anticipating what's about to happen, and being in the right place before the moment lands.

For weddings, my favourite images are always the candid ones - getting ready, the glances between friends, the unscripted moments people don't even realise I've caught. That documentary approach - observing and capturing rather than directing - is what makes event photography feel authentic. But I'm equally comfortable taking charge when needed, switching into a more directed mode for couples portraits, group shots with the bridesmaids, or anything else on the shot list. I adapt to the style each couple is after, whether that's warm and golden, clean and natural, or something moodier. I can also send over a few same-day selects if you want something to post that evening.

For corporate events and live music, I understand that the images often need to feed straight into press releases, social channels and internal comms. I deliver brand-safe, behind-the-scenes and documentary-style images with a fast turnaround so your marketing team can move while the event is still relevant.
