Events

I photograph Christmas parties, awards dinners and end-of-year events for businesses across Southampton, Hampshire and London. That means the speeches and the winners going up to collect, the room and the tables before everyone sits down, the group shots, and the candid ones once the night gets going.

A two-hour booking covers the main part of an evening: arrivals, speeches and awards. A half day (3.5 hours) covers most of the night. If you want images on social media the next morning, I can send a selection within 24 hours.

You get one gallery link for the whole event, so you can share it with everyone who was there and they can download what they like, web size for social media or full size for print. My standard delivery is 7 to 10 working days, or sooner if you need a rush job.

I can film it as well. An event highlights film is booked as its own video shoot, from £495, and there are examples on the video page.

Events don't pause for a photographer. A first dance, a keynote moment, a band hitting the chorus, these things happen once and they're gone. The skill isn't just in taking a sharp photo in difficult light (although that matters); it's in reading a room, anticipating what's about to happen, and being in the right place before the moment lands.

For weddings, my favourite images are always the candid ones, getting ready, the glances between friends, the unscripted moments people don't even realise I've caught. That documentary approach is what makes event photography feel authentic. But I'm equally comfortable taking charge when needed, switching into a more directed mode for couples portraits, group shots and anything else on the shot list.

For corporate events and live music, I understand that the images often need to feed straight into press releases, social channels and internal comms. I deliver brand-safe, behind-the-scenes and documentary-style images with a fast turnaround so your marketing team can move while the event is still relevant. Same-day selects are available if requested.
